Blissful Acres is located in
Western New York at the highest
elevation of Wyoming County. It
is a beautiful area to not only
raise our family and run our farms,
but also raise horses. Our horse
farm is here at our home and our
horses are raised as part of our
family.
In 1999 we purchased four imported Friesian fillies as a base for our breeding program. We looked for high quality, excellent lineage, good confirmation and movement and good temperament. We also chose baroque and modern type Friesians to have a variety to offer.
In our
breeding program, I put a lot of effort into searching
out the best stallions for each of my mares. Linear
scores are carefully checked and cross matched.
Inbreeding is kept below 3%. Our goal is to produce
the best quality and versatile foals as possible.
All of our breeding is done artificially for minimal
stress and maximum health for our mares.
